Наиболее известные и высокие горы Южного Приморья – Облачная, Снежная и Ольховая. Все они достаточно труднодоступны, но не по причине скальных отвесов, висячих ледников или прочих альпинистских сложностей, а из-за густой непроходимой растительности. Более или менее надежно попасть на вершины можно лишь по тропам. Гора Облачная – одна из вершин горной системы Сихотэ-А- линь. Высота ее 1854 м, это вторая по высоте вершина Примор- ского края, самая высокая гора Южного Приморья. Она находится в Чугуевском районе, на территории природного парка «Зов тигра». Тропа по долине Гнилого ручья маркирована каменными турами. Место отличается превосходными пейзажами: выше смешанного леса путники попадают в елово-пихтовый. Преодолев отметку в 1500 м, тропа попадает в заросли карликовых берез и кедрового стланика, а затем – на каменные россыпи, по которым проходит последний участок подъема на вершину. С нее открывается потрясающий вид на хребет Сихотэ-Алинь. К горе Снежной в сухую погоду даже на автомобиле можно добраться до креста, обозначающего исток реки Уссури. Выше дорога превращается в тропу, ведущую на открытую, каменистую вершину. В ясную солнечную погоду с вершины видны весь центральный Сихотэ-Алинь и Партизанский хребет. Самая высокая гора в Партизанском хребте – Ольховая. Она знаменита высокогорным озером Алексеевским, расположенным под самой вершиной. Лес возле озера волшебный: ноги утопают во мху, сухой хвое и лишайнике, много жимолости и брусники. Отдыхаем в райских кущах перед решающим подъемом: до вершины всего 600 м по горизонтали и 80 по вертикали. На вершине – поклонный крест. |

Mountains of Primorye
Best-known and highest mountains of the Southern Primorye are Oblachnaya («Cloudy»), Snezhnaya («Snowy»), and Olkhovaya («Alder»). All of them are quite difficult of access but not due to cliffs, cornice glaciers or other mountaineering difficulties but due to dense impassable vegetation. It is only by paths that one can more or less surely get to the peaks.
The Oblachnaya Mountain is one of the peaks of the Sikhote-Alin mountain range system. Its height is 1854 meters; it is the second in height peak of the Primorsky Krai, the highest mountain of the Southern Primorye. It is situated in the Chuguyevsky Region, on the territory of natural park «Tiger’s Call». The path along the valley of the Gniloy («Rotten») Stream is marked by stone pillars. The place is remarkable for excellent landscapes: uphill from the mixed forest, wanderers find themselves in the spruce-and-fir forest. Passing the altitude mark of 1500 meters, the trail comes upon thickets of dwarf birches and mountain pines, and further upon stone conglomerations that constitute the last part of climbing the peak. The pear commands a striking view of the Sikhote-Alin range.
In dry weather one can get to the Snezhnaya Mountain even by car up to the cross marking the Ussury River head. Further up, the road devolves into a path leading to an open stone top. In cloudless sunny weather the whole central Sikhote-Alin and Partizansky («Partisan’s») Range are visible from the peak.
The Olkhovaya Mountain is the highest mountain in the Partizansky Range. It is famous for a high-mountain Alekseyevskoye Lake situated right at the foot of the peak. The forest about the lake is enchanting: the feet sink in the moss, dry pine needles, and lichen; there is a lot of woodbine and cowberry. We take a rest in the «pastures of heaven» before the decisive climb: it is only 600 meters in the horizontal plane and 80 meters in the vertical one to the peak. A worship cross is there on the top.
